Edit any field of the 244 CPU racing records: one record per racer (32 bytes, 28 on DOC '99), read with the game's own framing (corrected 2026-09-30; the earlier version of this tool read each racer's stamina, speed, sharp and coat from the next racer's record, and wrote them there too). Grade and sex are dropdowns; the other fields are raw 0-255 bytes: stamina, speed and sharp, dirt, the six externals, the class byte (0, 1 or 2; in World Edition Rev C classes 1 and 2 get the late speed-up in the day's 6th race), and the coat word at +0 (high byte named with the game's own coat classifier; the low byte, like the +2/+3 word, is appearance data). Style is not stored: the game works it out from the six externals each time it sets up a race (Start's rank among Start, Out of the Box, Competing, Tenacious and Spurt, a tie counting for Start; all six equal, Corner included, is Almighty), so the Style column is computed and follows your edits. Name edit is ASCII only (JP names read-only). ▲ = record differs between World Edition and DOC 2000 (16 of 244: seven re-rated, the others only in the class byte or appearance data; edit freely: this only matters for cross-version transpose, which this tool intentionally doesn't do).
🍺 Enable Beer
The two beer foods ship with all-zero numbers, so beer raises nothing. This writes +2 (Draft) / +4 (Black Draft) to their six columns, which are the six externals (Start, Corner, Out of the Box, Competing, Tenacious, Spurt): byte-exact, reproduces the validated test-ROM diff. Note that World Edition (Rev C and Rev D) never offers beer in the feed menu, so there the patched beer still won't appear; DOC 2000 offers it only at exactly 14 races, after a Perfect in that session's training, to a horse holding at least one of three particular G1 titles.
